As we face a global pandemic, this article sets out to show, in extensive detail, biblical health principles. It’s not widely understood but the biblical approach to health focuses on education, the prevention of disease and the active promotion of health”.  Without ignoring the spiritual implication of many of Gods laws, the health benefits of keeping said laws are undeniable. Overall health benefits, including protection from infectious disease which increasingly plagues this world, are achieved within scriptural law – laws specifically like clean and unclean meats, laws concerning moderation and circumcision, laws concerning body piercings and tattoos and those laws concerning human sexual activity. Some may also find it hard to believe but the Bible also teaches how to handle bodily discharge, human waste, the quarantining of the sick and the removal and cleaning of physical items that may be infected or contaminated.  Principles of staying healthy through physical activity are also found within scripture. Without losing site of the spiritual intent of the law, scripture clearly reveals that good physical and mental health is the result of learning and obeying the physical laws of God. We are told Christ came that we may have life and have it more abundantly.  God created us in His image, and He gave us these physical bodies…to be stewards of while we are physical. The way of God promotes a lifestyle requiring sometimes challenging habits that produce character that will remain even when these physical bodies fade, whereas disobedience carries with it the many physical illnesses suffered by this current world
