The “Good News” Gospel – Richard F. Ames tomorrowsworld.org

The essence of the Gospel, or “Good News,” preached by Jesus contrasts sharply with various distorted versions found within mainstream Christianity. The “prosperity gospel” and “political gospel” are misleading, promoting health and wealth or human-centered activism. To discern the true Gospel, one must turn to the New Testament, where the Greek word “euaggelion” translates to “good news.”

The genuine Gospel centers on Jesus proclaiming the imminent Kingdom of God. It foretells a future where Christ, as the King of kings, will establish His rule, conquering and transforming the warring nations. Despite misconceptions that the current Christian church represents the Kingdom, a pivotal event—the seventh trumpet announcement—will declare the ultimate establishment of God’s rule over the Earth.

The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ is a key aspect of this Gospel, describing a world where God’s divine government ensures universal peace. It envisions swords turned into plowshares, signifying a shift from war to productivity. Christ’s rule, assisted by faithful figures like Moses and Elijah, promises a reign of justice and everlasting peace.

In this coming Kingdom, faithful Christians are depicted as kings and priests, actively participating in the righteous governance of nations. The Gospel emphasizes a transformative change in human nature, shifting from hostility toward God to embracing divine principles.

The Gospel’s message is not a selfish salvation but a call for Christians to prepare for a role in God’s kingdom, focusing on true love, peace, and prosperity. Through repentance, baptism, and receiving the Holy Spirit, believers align themselves with this transformative Gospel. The ultimate vision is a future where the Earth experiences unparalleled beauty and productivity, as even the nature of animals undergoes a positive transformation.

In summary, the true Gospel is the anticipation of God’s Kingdom, where Christ reigns, faithful Christians play vital roles, and a profound transformation brings about lasting peace and prosperity.
